Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. The City of Tempe (herein referred to as “City”) will never sell, trade, share or rent your personal information to its merchant partners, partner agencies or any other third parties without your prior consent. However, if you contact the City via e- mail and there is a public records request, your name and e-mail address will be disclosed as required by law.

How secure is City’s website when I provide personal information?

All personal information provided to City is transmitted using an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) secured form (most browsers indicate a secure form by a 'closed lock' icon at the bottom of the screen). If you are requested to provide personal information on an unsecured form, do not provide such information, but instead please contact the webmaster immediately so that the form can be corrected and made secure.

What kind of personal information does City gather or track on your site?

Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, email format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. If you do not want your personal information collected, please do not submit it to us. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers.

Children

We have no intention of collecting any personal information from individuals under 13 years of age. Where appropriate, we will specifically instruct children not to submit such information on our sites. If a child has provided us with personal information, a parent or guardian of that child should contact us at the e-mail address or phone number listed above if they would like this information deleted from our records. We will use reasonable efforts to delete the child’s information from our existing files.
