Author Storytime
Join us for an interactive storytime with Viva Kreis, author of She Did That!?, a book that celebrates female athletes. This storytime will include an interactive reading and incorporate simple, sports-based movement activities.
About the author:
Viva Kreis graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Arizona State University in May 2025. She competes as a member of the US Team Handball Team. Viva is a published author and illustrator of her children’s book, She Did That!?: Amazing Female Athletes from A to Z. She is the 2022 Heisman Trophy National High School Scholar-Athlete award winner and a Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award Honoree, recognizing her commitment to academics, athletics, and community service. She hosts the #1 women’s handball podcast globally, “Red, White, and Glue: The US Women’s Handball Podcast”. Viva’s passion for women's sports led her to visit all 12 WNBA teams and their arenas, where she interviewed over 50 players, coaches, and executives for a National History Day project on women breaking barriers in the sport of basketball, which has continued to lead to future speaking appearances with both the WNBA and Jr. NBA to share her experiences and expertise.
