Amy: Amy Silverman is a journalist, author and teacher in her hometown, Phoenix, but her most important job is mom. For much of the past two decades, her work has focused on issues around intellectual disability, including in her 2016 memoir, "My Heart Can't Even Believe It: A Story of Science, Love and Down Syndrome."
