On Self-Love and Celebration: Poetry Workshop

This creative writing workshop is for poets. Inspired by poet Ariana Brown’s workshop “On Love, Names, and Odes”, this workshop focuses on the beloved subject of many poems, love itself, but particularly love that the poet has for oneself. By studying odes and freeverse from various women and queer writers, poets will try their hand at a bold declaration, with special attention to how specificity of body, memory, and sensory experience transform the work.
