This program invites preschoolers and their caregivers to explore the exciting world of STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. *Space and supplies are limited!
Class Themes:
08/28: Sharks: Explore how sharks breathe and float, then craft your own shark to take home.
09/11: Sound: Discover the science of sound and build a musical instrument to play.
09/25: The Moon: Learn fascinating facts about the moon, then make a foil-printed moon of your own.
10/09: Stars: Celebrate World Space Week by exploring the stars, designing your own constellation, and joining a space-themed storytelling adventure. This event is part of our One Tempe One Book program.
10/23: Pumpkins: Follow the life cycle of a pumpkin, test whether it sinks or floats, and create a pumpkin craft.
11/13: Balloons Over Broadway: Discover the story behind the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, then design and create your own parade balloon.
12/11: Simple Machines: Build your own catapult and see which “snowball” can fly the farthest.
