Author Storytime

Erica Maxwell is the author of Beauty with a Birthmark. Guided by her love of children's literature, Erica was inspired by her daughter Jessica to write Beauty with a Birthmark, told in verse. Erica is a first-time author with deep roots in Arizona's social equity community. She serves on local and state boards and commissions. She brings more than 30 years of experience as an educator across K-20 to everything she does.
