Get ready to ROAR and GLOW at Fossil Fest. Stomp into our prehistoric party packed with glowing fun! Enjoy a lively dance floor, dino-themed games, creative crafts, and a fossil dig. Wear your brightest neon and get ready for a roaring good time!
We are excited to host Rock Glyph Painting with artist Lily Reeves at this event.
Participants will be invited to select a rock and create their own surface design using paint markers. Drawing inspiration from Lily’s work, they will explore the creation of simple symbols, patterns, and marks that represent meaning, identity, or imagined narratives. This approach connects to the Fossil Fest theme by encouraging participants to think about marks as records, impressions, or traces left over time.
To extend the visual connection to Lily’s sculptural practice, participants will have the option to incorporate brightly colored pipe cleaners into their designs. These can be wrapped around or attached to the rocks, referencing the way Lily weaves neon tubing through carved forms in her work.
