Introduction to DeafBlind communication, accessibility, and Protactile philosophy.

This interactive awareness experience will introduce participants to DeafBlind communication, accessibility, and Protactile philosophy. Learn to better understand DeafBlind experiences through guided activities, communication demonstrations, and discussions centered on touch, access, human connection, and community support. 

For ages 16+

Earl Terry is a Deaf educator, artist, curator, advocate, and founder of Gecko BASL + Protactile + ASL LLC and MDVAP (Melanated Deaf Visual Artists Project). His work centers Deaf culture, Black American Sign Language (BASL), Protactile, accessibility, storytelling, and community engagement through arts and education. Based in Arizona, Earl collaborates with community organizations, libraries, artists, and institutions to create inclusive Deaf-centered spaces that uplift marginalized voices and strengthen cultural visibility across the state.
