Desert Willow Program RoomJoin paleontologist Brandon Nguyen for a fascinating look at how fossils are discovered during everyday construction projects.
This talk will focus on fossil discoveries found during the construction of solar energy farms, utility transmission line projects, and fiber optic installations. Attendees will learn about the process of mitigation paleontology, including pre-construction survey, monitoring and fossil salvage, and specimen curation at designated repositories. The talk will also highlight the environmental protections placed upon paleontological resources found on public land.
