Southwest Shakespeare Company will discuss the dramatic and supernatural elements of Macbeth.
Join Southwest Shakespeare Director of Education, Breona Conrad, for a 90-minute immersive session that delves into the dramatic and supernatural elements of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
We’ll begin with a brief exploration of the infamous "Curse of Macbeth," uncovering its historical and theatrical roots. From there, we’ll focus on the play’s rich storytelling by analyzing key moments, including Macbeth’s haunting dagger soliloquy and the eerie opening scene with the Weird Sisters. Through close reading and discussion, participants will gain deeper insight into Shakespeare’s mastery of tension, character, and atmosphere.
